The National Archives of Trinidad and Tobago was pleased to host a visit by His Excellency Gustavo Véliz Olivares, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago on April 3, 2025. 

The Ambassador met with Mrs. Avalon Dougan, Government Archivist (Ag), and exchanged views on some of the shared history of the two countries. He also was able to tour the National Archives' Public Search Room and learn of the archival services and records available, as well as visit the Conservation Laboratory, to see first hand how archival documents are restored and preserved.
