Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn more about our African heritage as the National Archives of Trinidad and Tobago displays two exhibitions at the Emancipation Village, located at Booth No. 7 in the Queens Park Savannah from Friday 28th July to 1st August, 2017.
The two featured exhibitions are:
"Our African Legacy" Roots and Routes" which traces the various journeys through which people of African descent – enslaved, liberated or free, came to Trinidad and Tobago, during the 17th to 19th centuries.
"From Enslavement to Emancipation" highlights the journey of the enslaved from Africa to settlement and life on the plantations as well as their resistance, revolt and rebellion that gave rise to their freedom.
