Welcome to the National Archives of Trinidad and Tobago (NATT), the custodian of our country's documentary heritage. The National Archives is responsible for preserving and protecting Trinidad and Tobago's memory and maintaining the democratic rights of citizens to have access to the records of the government. In order to fulfil our mandate we acquire, process, manage, and make accessible to citizens and researchers quality records documenting the broad spectrum of activities undertaken throughout the history of Trinidad and Tobago. These include government records, immigration records, photographs, audio visual material, maps and more. Many of these records are unique and can only be found at the National Archives of Trinidad and Tobago.

It is an amazing experience interacting with these records as they are able to reveal our traditions and enable us as a nation to have a better understanding and interpretation of our national identity and our ancestors.

The National Archives also fulfills its mandated records management responsibilities throughout the Public Service. We provide records management and archival training and advice across the country but primarily to government agencies.
