The National Archives is pleased to announce that the Public Search Room will re-open from Monday 7 December 2020. In-person research services will be available by appointment in keeping with COVID-19 protocols.

Face masks will required for entry into the National Archives, and social distancing must be maintained in the Public Search Room at all times. 

Members of the public are still encouraged to make use of our remote services, which include preliminary research and requests for copies of specific documents.
