On the occasion of International Archives Day – 9 June 2017, Dr. Susan Craig-James presented a copy of her latest book “What Mean These Stones? – Christianity and Education in Tobago, 1808-1872” to the National Archives. Commissioned by the St. Andrew’s Heritage Trust of the Anglican Church in Tobago, the book tells the history of Christianity and education in Tobago in the nineteenth century, spurred by the recent renovation of the Scarborough Scots Kirk (or Scottish Church).
Dr. Craig-James’ publication is a welcome and valuable addition to the history of Tobago.
